Brace for Impact
The Heavenly Blueprint for the Coming Wave of Innovation and Upheaval.
Jesus reigns over atoms and algorithms.
By Rev. Steve Mwaura · ACK Diocese of Mt. Kenya South
Before the book · Before the series
God was not absent at the cross. He was silent — and that silence was sovereign strategy. Watch this before you read anything else.
Silence Is Not Absence. Two thirds of heaven's army stood deployed at Golgotha — not absent, not unaware. Waiting under orders, because the Heir had to finish what only He could finish. The God who was sovereign at the cross is sovereign over every algorithm ever written.
The theological foundation
It is a book about who owns it — and what happens when creation forgets its Creator.
Three tiers of reader
This book was written at three depths simultaneously. Find yourself.
"I am watching screens steal my children's souls and I don't know what the church has to say about it."
"My congregation is asking questions about AI and I need a theological framework that doesn't embarrass the faith."
"I work at the edge of what is known. Does ancient faith have anything honest to say to the frontier?"
18 chapters · ~40,000 words · 5 parts
One thesis across five movements. Jesus reigns — not just spiritually, not just eventually, but actually and presently over all of reality, including every technology built within it.

On the horizon
An AI companion in Rev. Mwaura's own likeness — one-on-one conversation about God, His Word, and divine wisdom, available any hour. Fully transparent: it will always tell you it is an AI reflecting Rev. Mwaura's teaching — never a replacement for Scripture, prayer, or your own pastor.
The multi-voice AI council — theologian, scientist, pastoral voice, philosopher, elder — that pressure-tested every chapter of this book. Session recordings and new live debates will be published here.
Rev. Stephen Gitau Mwaura is an ordained minister, government-recognised inventor, and award-winning innovator based in Nairobi, Kenya. Ordained as a Servant of God by the Christian Priest Foundation Church on 22nd June 2008 (Certificate No. 08002), he has spent three decades simultaneously pursuing two vocations most people keep separate — faith and technology.
Since 1997, the Government of Kenya has formally recognised him as an Entrepreneur and Innovator. His company, Modern Electro Technology, won a Certificate of Merit (3rd Place, SMEs Category) at Kenya Industrialization Week, KICC, November 2013 — the same week he pitched his educational software directly to President Uhuru Kenyatta at the Nairobi International Trade Fair. KTN Prime featured him that year as an inventor. In October 2015, he received a Certificate of Appreciation from ICABUMPA-iN4iN — co-convened by Mount Kenya University and Leipzig University — for outstanding exhibition contribution at the International Conference for Advancement of Business Management Practices in Africa. He has also exhibited at the WTO MC10 World Commodity Conference, Nairobi.
As founder of Chatterbox Studio, he brings that same faith-informed, practically grounded spirit to the defining question of our moment: What does Jesus's lordship over all of creation mean for the age of artificial intelligence? God & Technology: Brace for Impact is not a sudden idea. It is a long obedience arriving at its moment.
